Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 17, 2026 — TradeIQ (trader-iq.com)
1. What We Collect
We collect the following information when you use TradeIQ:
- Email address — collected at signup and login. Used to authenticate your account via magic link.
- Skill level and quiz responses — used to personalize AI coaching to your level.
- Trade journal entries — trades you log manually or that are auto-detected by the AI coach during sessions.
- AI session history — conversation history with the AI mentor, stored to enable cross-session memory and coaching continuity.
- Screen captures — when you use the AI Screen Coach, frames from your screen are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis. These are not stored by TradeIQ beyond the active session.
- Payment information — billing is handled entirely by Stripe. TradeIQ never sees or stores your card details.
- Usage data — basic analytics such as page visits and feature usage, used to improve the product.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate your account and send login links
- To personalize AI coaching based on your skill level and history
- To maintain your trade journal and performance analytics
- To process your subscription through Stripe
- To improve the product based on usage patterns
3. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell your personal data to any third party
- We do not share your trading data or journal with other users
- We do not store screen capture frames beyond the active coaching session
- We do not use your data for advertising purposes
4. Third-Party Services
TradeIQ uses the following third-party services:
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes screen captures and text for AI coaching. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Stripe — handles all payment processing. TradeIQ never receives your card details.
- Upstash (Redis) — stores your profile, journal, and session data securely.
- Vercel — hosts the TradeIQ application.
- Resend — sends authentication emails (magic links).
5. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. To request deletion, email hello@trader-iq.com.
6. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication uses signed JWT tokens with short expiry. Session cookies are HttpOnly and Secure. We do not store passwords — login is passwordless via magic link.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Contact hello@trader-iq.com for any privacy-related requests.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. Continued use of TradeIQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
